ADULT LEARNERS' WEEK/HE TANGATA MATAURANGA 2010 |
|
|
Encourging life long learning is the aim of Adult Learners' Week/He Tangata Matauranga which runs from 6 - 13 September. This year's theme " E ako mo tenei ra me apopo - Learn for today and tomorrow" emphasises the way learning has an impact on the lives of adults and their communities and to recognise and reward learning on many levels. Each year Te Waka Pu Whenua joins with thirty one other nations throughout the world to celebrate this event in acknowledging the important contribution that adult learners make in their communities. A number of activities are being planned to encourage community participation in this 'learning fest'. Activities will be updated at the end of next week |
